Dependent on availability Rachel Lichtenstein occassionally takes on private commissions. In the past these have included bespoke pieces of artwork for private collections as well as large scale permanent public art works.

Examples include:
Kirsch Mosaic (private collection, 2010) a full scale replica copy of the orginal Kirsch Family mosaic for a private client.
The Spital Square Mosaic Project (Bethnal Green City Challenge, 1994)  a large scale public art work, which celebrated the history of the area. This mosaic was devised and produced over a six month period by Rachel in collaboration with 120 East London school children. The entire project was filmed for BBC's Blue Peter programme. The mosaic was installed in Spital Square, Spitalfields (the mosaic was recently moved when the site was redeveloped).
Holocaust Exhibition (West London Synagogue, 1993) - a permanent exhibition on the holocaust for the foyer of West London Synagogue. Researched, written and produced by Rachel Lichtenstein.
Triptych (private collection, 1997) - a large scale mixed-media sculpture, commissioned by a private client to celebrate a relatives eightieth birthday.
